And She saw that it was good is a new performance duet I am creating with Austrian dancer/choreographer, Mirjam Sögner. In the work Mirjam and I critique the inherent binary of man/wo-man in the fundamental creation text, ‘The Book of Genesis’ (The Old Testament). From this starting point the work unravels to question the binaries of human/non-human and living/non living.
As part of the expanded Naming It research project with David Bloom, we will be in residence at Tanzfabrik this summer. Our residency will culminate in a public evening, including a showing of And She saw that it was good led by myself, and David’s research for The Universe Project, followed by a discussion into our shared artistic inquiry.
Public Showing & Time to Talk: 20th July 2017
Platform: Tanzfabrik’s Open Spaces Festival
